Booking Terms
1. To secure a reservation of the accommodation more than 30 days in advance, the Guest is required to pay a deposit of 25% of the total rent on receipt of an invoice issued by the Owner, by means of credit transfer to the Owner’s bank account – details provided on the invoice. For reservations made 30 days or less in advance, the full invoiced amount is payable by credit transfer on receipt of invoice.
2. The deposit is non-refundable in the event of cancellation by the Guest. A reservation will be confirmed on receipt of the deposit.
3. Having received the Guest’s deposit and confirmed the reservation of the accommodation, the Guest is liable for the balance of the rent for the full period of the letting. You may wish to consider taking out cancellation insurance.
4. The balance of the rent is payable by the Guest not later than 30 days before commencement of the reservation, also by credit transfer. If the balance of the total rent remains unpaid at that point, the Owner reserves the right to re-let the accommodation and the Guest’s deposit payment will be forfeit.
5. The reservation will be for a specified number of guests. This number must not be exceeded in any circumstances unless agreed in writing with the Owner and any additional rental paid in respect of the extra guest(s).
6. Changes to the dates of a reservation and/or the number of guests may be accommodated at the Owner’s discretion subject to the prevailing rates and an administration charge of £75.00.
7. To allow for the thorough preparation of the accommodation, guests should arrive to check-in no earlier than 3pm and should check-out of the accommodation by no later than 11.00am, unless specifically agreed otherwise with the Owner.
8. Early check-in/late check-out may be available as an option by arrangement with the Owner subject to other reservations and additional charges. Contact the Owner for details.
9. Smoking is not permitted inside any of the accommodation. If smoking outdoors, Guests are asked to dispose of cigarette butts in the dustbins provided and not discard them in the grounds.
10. Pets are not permitted in the accommodation except by prior arrangement and subject to a pet charge.
11. The playing of music is allowed strictly on the basis that it will not at any time be at a level which causes a nuisance to or disturbance of the residents in neighbouring properties, whether during the day or night time. There shall be no music played after midnight under any circumstances with the exception of New Year’s Eve when music may be played until no later than 2am.
12. General noise levels – consideration must be shown at all times for the residents of neighbouring properties and general noise levels (not including music referred to above) to such a level as not to cause annoyance or disturbance to them.
13. All breakages and damage must be reported by the Guests to the Owner prior to departure. Guests will pay for any breakages or damage at full replacement cost on presentation of an invoice by the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to charge a security deposit against breakages and damages where appropriate and of an amount according to the nature of the reservation.
14. Before guests’ arrival, the accommodation will have been thoroughly cleaned. Guests are requested to leave the accommodation in a clean and tidy condition: all crockery, cutlery, glassware, kitchen utensils, cooker, refrigerator, baths and sinks must be left in a clean condition, with furniture in its correct position, and all rubbish removed from the property. The Owners reserve the right to make a surcharge in the event that the accommodation or any of its contents are left in a dirty state or not returned to its original position.
15. Guests are requested not to remove items of property from the accommodation during their stay.
16. Water, electricity and central heating costs are included in the rent. An initial supply of logs is provided for each of the fires in the properties. Thereafter, logs may be purchased at the property.
17. A weekly cleaning service is included in the rent. During the weekly clean, the bed linen, towels, bath mats and tea towels will be exchanged for clean replacements.
18. Complimentary wireless internet access is available at the properties. Guests are advised that misuse of the internet for illegal purposes is not permitted.
19. Landline telephones can be provided subject to guests agreeing to meet the charges.
20. The Owner shall not be liable for any loss, damage, expense, accident, injury or inconvenience whether to person or property which the Guest or any other person associated with them may suffer or sustain arising out of or in respect of any reservation.
21. The Owner gives all information and make all statements about the accommodation and service provided in good faith. The Owner shall not be liable for any damage or loss resulting from information given or statements made whether orally or in writing.
22. The Owner shall be allowed access to the accommodation at any reasonable time during any occupancy.
23. Any complaint about any aspect of the property should be raised with the Owner, Julian Cole, in writing at the time the matter arises: enquiries@walnutescapes.co.uk. Every effort will be made to address any such complaint as quickly as possible. No complaints can be considered after the guests’ departure from the accommodation.
